My mom says music runs in my veins, though it skipped a generation after my Nan-Nan, a gifted vocalist and Tabla player. Without direct guidance at home, I found my mentors in the talented music teachers at my school. I began with piano in Kindergarten, later discovering my true voice in the flute. Today, whether in solos, ensembles, or marching band, I play for the joy of expression, connection, and live performance. I feel fortunate to grow in a district like IPSD 204, where music education is celebrated and deeply valued.
